Officials said the break occurred around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday in the vicinity of the pond and Christian Herald Road. Suez water has been contacted to repair the break before icing can occur, police said.

The road is open, but Clarkstown Police remind motorists that conditions can become dangerous and icy very quickly.
